When will O2 UK bring out a smartphone???

I currently own an unlocked e200 on o2 (the only signal where I live!). I really need to be on contract but don't want to go back to a standard phone :) . Does anyone know of any plans for o2 to release a smartphone??

they had better bring one out VERY soon, iv been waiting to upgrade since march and they STILL havent braught a phone out thats worthy... think ill be holding out for the feelers on t-mobile... shame

Just buy or upgrade to any decent free phone (6600, P900, depending on your tariff), sell it on ebay and use ithe money to offset against the cost of a C500, currently available from your friednly local Modaco shop!
