Guest intastella Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 I'm new to Smartphones (I've got an Orange spv c500) and can't for the life of me figure out how to monitor my gprs usage. Is there anywhere on the phone I can go to see how much data I have transferred through GPRS? Or do I have to install separate software to do that? Any advice gratefully received. Intastella
Guest ferret Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 You need to buy(!) a third party app to monitor GPRS usage  Try searching handango.com or smartphone.net for All Locations Traffic Counter (something like that!)
Guest intastella Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Thanks for that, I'll go and have a look. Is there a particular app that anyone knows that does this well?
Guest ferret Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 All locations is the only application avaible. I-meter is a freeware option but it only works on Smartphone 2002.
Guest intastella Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Great, thanks for the advice. I've downloaded a trial of 'all locations' and will give it a go. I use a piece of software from spb for my pocket pc and thought I read somewhere that they had a beta gprs monitor for the smartphone but couldn't find anything about it on their website. We'll see what 'all locations' is like.
Guest ferret Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 I remember something about beta testing a gprs monitor now you've mentioned it. Best place to look is in the Archived News section.
