template locations

seen all the threads about templates.....i can only get the default one. I used to get the cat one and the ones that came with the phone, but i guess i have fiddled and messed a setting up...i can see the ".gif" files in the windows directoey (using explore on active sync), but the "select template" section doesnt see them, and i cant use them.

Anyone tell me what ive done wrong?
