Knowledge Base?

How about "someone" sets up a searchable knowledge base, so that any of us (but especially Newbies) can search for the latest, proven answer to a common question?

I know there is already a search, but it returns so many hits (especially for common topics) that there's no way people are going to go through all the threads looking for the info.

Doing something from the "other end" might make it easier:

[select your phone type] (e.g. Orange C500)

[select your issue] (e.g. Emails)

[Enter optional keywords] (e.g. Auto downloads, blank returns all FAQ answers on C500 Email issues)

Response = "Auto downloads of emails only work if you have manually downloaded emails from that account at least once since you started your phone"

It'd be quite a lot of work to maintain, but it would be kinda cool especially for Newbies and people with new phone models.

MoDaCo could even sell it to Orange!

I would imagine it will need one person to be allocated to a particular phone / operator. Sounds like an awesome task but worthwhile.

Good idea... I know some of the team have already talked to me about doing something similar, and I hope it is something we can implement after MoDaCo 2.

Anyways i reckon if a new section was created with lots of proven solutions to common problems was created that would do the trick :wink: ?

As for MoDaCo2 whats wrong with MoDaCo1?
