tanager sunken soft keys

my tanager's softkeys finally retired and sunk. my thumb felt sore afterseveral futile attempts in sending sms messeges (left soft key)

so i opened my sap, and saw that the problem is not the peg that activates the soft key but rather the a ttatchement of the softkey to the front casing ( nice thinking sap engrs.) i tried super glue but it keeps on falling off, until i tried foam.

the solution is really simple. i need something non metalic to push the softkey up and hold it place. so i cut a smal piece of foam ( from a pillow no less) and glue it underneath the softkey. problem solved.

Kagagaling ko lang kasi sa BP coz lubog na rin softkeys ko. Pansin ko nga na naputol yung attachment na plastic kaya gumi-gewang gewang na yung key.

wala kasing BP dito kasi nga promdi. it will take 60 days daw for the repairs kasi dadalhin pa sa manila. well i did it in less then 30 min.

Yung left soft key ko ganito nangyari kaya gumi gewang gewang na...putol na kasi. Hindi durable yung material na ginamit.

Pansin nyo yung pinagputulan nya? Yung black na diagonal line. Parang plastic lang kasi kaya madaling bumigay and yung attachment nya sa front casing manipis lang. Magkasama pa naman yung soft keys, buttons sa gilid (power, record, volume) and front casing kaya kahit softkeys lang problem ng phone mo, bibilhin mo yung buong set. :shock:

Dahil jan inabot ng P1,860 yung cost ng 'major repair' sa Brightpoint: P1,310 para sa spare parts then P550 para sa labor. :evil: :evil: :evil:

my softkeys are holding out. i think it will work just the same sa power key.
