Guest sgilder1 Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Hi all, I am the recent proud owner of a C500 - very pleased with the phone, a vast improvement over my previous E200. However, I have noticed that the joystick/toggle is slightly loose and I am trying to work out whether it is worth going through the grief of exchanging for another phone (with possibly worse build). It is most noticeable if you put your thumb on top of the toggle and slide it from side to side. The whole joystick moves around in the case, probably about 0.5mm in each direction (up, down, left and right). It just gives an impression of bad quality. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't want to go through the exhange process unless I am sure I have a bad build.... Thanks!
Guest stclive Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 lol i was worried about that too read all the posts on this link http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=113971 dont worry its the way its meant to be :)
Guest stclive Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 i understand your concern im 99% sure this movement of joypad is normal hopefully a few more folk will read this, check their joystick and confirm
Guest sgilder1 Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 Thanks for the reply. It seems like play in the joystick is there on all C500s. Not sure that it is by design though - it makes using the joystick pretty irritating since it clicks and moves around without actually doing anything. Anybody else got a phone that does this?
Guest midnight Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 mines the same, but i wouldnt say its irritating in the slightest, in fact, until you mentioned it i never noticed. (so if it irritates me now i know who to blame), but its the design of the thing, they'll all do it :)
Guest sgilder1 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Seems like i am worried about nothing. Thanks for all of the replies. Posted from my SmartPhone!
