Guest beersoft Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 isnt the answer in bluetooth settings? later Owen
Guest toppers_uk Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 >> isnt the answer in bluetooth settings? << No it isn't there on an E200 - all you get to change in that menu is whether the phone is discoverable or not.
Guest beersoft Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 on the e200 go to configurations > bluetooth settings > change the text that says smartphone to something else sorted later Owen
Guest toppers_uk Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 Owen - thanks for your help so far but there is no text to change, just a box which says "discoverable" which can be changed to "off" or "on".
Guest beersoft Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 not bluetooth -> bluetooth settings <- its in the start menu not settings later Owen
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 What you are doing is going to Settings Beer said to go to ConfigurationsBT Settings and not SettingsBluetooth
Guest jasonic Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 On My E200 i go thru this process start-more-more-configurations-BT Settings Change 'Device Name' Hope this help.
Guest toppers_uk Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Okay, now worked out why I'm having problems. I don't have a menu item in the start menus called "configurations". How do I recreate the shortcut (if that's what they are called).
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 It is a standard menu folder that must have been deleted by yourself or a previous owner if the phone is secondhand. The Settings option is from the main Windows folder called BT_Settings.exe you can then create a shortcut and place it in youe Accessories folder if you want to.
Guest blueprint_bill Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 I have a similar problem with my c500. The BT settings menu used to be their and now it's gone.
