Volume when playing MIDI files from explorer

I downloaded a bunch of midi files to see how they sound on the c500. If I use them as ringtones they play fine, but if I use either smart explorer or the built in file manager to play them they play really, really quietly - in fact I can't hear them at all unless I hold the speaker right up to my ear in a kind of n-gage side talking style. Anyone know how to alter the midi volume?

Not got a C500 but you could try editing the profiles and turning system sound to max.. I have an E200 and it does this also.I will try on mine later :wink:

Had the same question about midi volume but raising the profile volume for system sounds makes all the keypresses etc loud as well so why cant we play midis with media player? tried putting a midi in various locations but doesnt come up in local content. Or cant media player handle them?
