Guest hardysmith Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Hi everybody, I've got an E200 and the vibrate function has stopped working. It definitely used to work, but it has packed up. I did update to 2.7.1.1 recently. Could this have anything to do with it? Is it possible to go back to 2.6.1.3? Thanks in advance.
Guest ha107900 Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 That happened to one of my E200's (I say "one of", as i'm on my fourth replacement phone from orange!) I didn't apply an update, it just stopped working! I don't know if it will be due to the update, but it is a possibility. Strange things happen to peoples phones when they apply updates... that why i keep away!!! If you have orange care (i would suggest all E200/smartphone owners have it) ring them and tell them its faulty, they'll send you a new one. Depending on the circumstances they may waive the £15 admin charge (If your really polite and you get a nice person on the other end, then that helps) If you do get a new one from orange, that will have the latest update on it anyway (or should have, u never know with those monkeys!! :) ) EDIT - No, it's not possible to go back on your updates.... another reason to stay away - A famous man once said "If it ain't broke, don't try n fix it"
Guest mikeyboy Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I had this problem intermittently and it seemed related to the sd card I had for some reason - if I took it out and retested the vibrate function it would seem to work again.
Guest dog Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Mine's given up the vibrate too. No upgrades. Messing with the SD card hasn't done anything
