I cant seem to get the ClearVue apps to work (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)

I save a doc into a folder on phone memory but it doesnt show in the folders when I try and browse to it

Ive tried saving onto my SD card but seems to crash Windows Explorer on my PC (think this is a seperate issue!!)

Any ideas?

Oh yeh, it does work with PDF documents using CV PDF. Strange.

I've had a few problems too! I found that you had to save the documents (In my case excel files) in My Documents. Then once you've opened up the right CV application, use file, then open. This will take you to My Documents, where your saved document should be. After you've opened it in CV once it should then appear in recent files. Also if you use the file manager to try and find your saved files, make sure you are in 'list view' otherwise you won't see them.

My problem is that I can't save any files to my storage card, I get an error message each time!

Thanks CC, I think I created a folder called docs in my documents but maybe I'll just try putting in my documents root file. Will try in the office tomorrow and update the post.

Have the same issue with copying to SD card bruv.

Thanks

Hi

I had the same problems - I put it in a topic in this forum but I'm not sure how to link to it - basically, what I had to do was go into active sync. and tell it not to convert files from .doc or .xls, etc (desktop word, excel, powerpoint) into pocket PC verisons. You basically want to tell activesync not to convert things. This can be done in ActiveSync by going to Options>Rules>Conversion Settings>Desktop to Device and then select the relevant files types, e.g. MS Word doc is default converted to MS Pocket PC Word doc, change that so it MS Word doc to 'No Converstion'. Seemed to work for me. Also, if you are trying to open attachments straight from e-mails tell active sync to download the entire e-mail to ensure that you have the attachement as well as the text. I have say thanks to cybercamel for advice on this matter.

Hope it works.
