Using bluetooth

I have made the leap from my old trusted (and very boring) P900 to the new c500.

is it possible to send pic's via bluethooth as i can only see infra or mms??

Try 'Binarys' website for this software. Has much more function than just this tho - Top app :)

Works a treat for the E200, so assume it will work for C500 (Don't have C500, just E200).

This was (i thought) one of the many drawbacks of the E200 (as well as not being able to send contacts via sms) Despite the power and functionality of Oranges smartphones, they seem to be lacking these simple things that nokia (and other) phones have had from day 1!!!!

It seems strange that Orange/HTC haven't sorted this out! Anyone know why? :?

(I know you can also get an app to send contacts, but surely this should be in the ROM... its pretty basic :roll: )

Woo-hoo. I am on FIRE at the moment ;-)

You CAN send files via Bluetooth with the software 'out of the box', no need for SmartExplorer!!!!!!!!!

I have read the thread Who and it mentions Bluetooth briefly but the rest just talks about IR..

will keep searching but thanks for the update..

No phil, the point is that you use the "send via IR" tag to send via Bluetooth. When you select "send via IR" if you have a bluetooth device paired it sends using BT to that device, NOT via IR!

Try it mate, it works!
