Guest 5aboy Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Hello, I am new to the smartphone scene, and will be getting my spv c500 tomorrow, with any luck. anyhow, I realise that it costs quite a lot and is quite slow to use the internet on a mobile, and was wondering if the mobile is capable of using my own broadband connection to download stuff to itself (like updates, etc) using a cable of some sort or other? I ask this as I am a student and so money is tight, but i must have a fully-functioning phone! PS: also, does anyone know in the UK where you can get CLEAR PLASTIC CASES for the c500? thanks.
Guest ferret Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Yep, you can use the supplied usb cable and activesync - set the data connection to 'pass through'. If you sync over bluetooth you can even use the PC broadband wire free :) I recall seeing something about a case somewhere (coolsmartphone.com I think) but didn't really pay much attention as I don't own a c500. For a clear case you could try searching for 'krussel' & 'c500'.
