C500 ROMs

As I am new to smartphones, forgive me if reply to these questions is obvious.

1. Can language of the menus be easily changed, without flashing the entire device (like in PDAs)?

2. Given a certain device, can one install onto it ROMs issued be different operators/distibutors? In other words, can I flash my C500 with a I-mate or QTEK ROM, when available?

On my C500 I have the option of the following languages under Regional Settings:

Nederlands

Dansk

Espanol

Italiano

Deutsch

Francais

UK English

US English

Under Locale, there are a lot more options including Swedish, Tatar, Uzbek, Serbian, Polish, Greek as well as lots of variations of English, French and Spanish.

People did with previous SPV's so i don't see see why not, unless something has drastically been changed in the C500. But we (MoDaCo) do not advise installing a foriegn ROM, i.e. a ROM from a different provider.
