Guest shandy1948 Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I transferred all my contacts from my old Nokia 6100 to my beautiful new SPV C500, using infra-red. On the 6100 they were all formatted properly ie - "Fred Blogs", but when they arrived on my SPV they became "FRED BLOGS". Since I've got 400 contacts, I don't really want to edit them all manually. Does anyone know a way of fixing them in one go? Alternatively does anyone know another technique of transferring all the contacts, while keeping the correct capitalisations?
Guest Metoo Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Sync to Outlook. Export Outlook Contacts to CSV. Keep a copy for backup! Load CSV into Excel. Convert columns required to Title case using formula =PROPER(A1) Save CSV Or - paste spreadshet into Word table. Select required columns and Change Case to Title in Word. Copy Table back to Excel, save as CSV. Replace Outlook Contacts with new version by importing new CSV. Replace contents of phone by Activesync.
