Guest bluesmudge Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Is it called the joy stick? well its the little nobbly bit at the front, and mine seems to have gone bad. sometimes it stops working, sometimes it works too much, sometimes in the wrong direction. Now its insured and under a year old so it could be replaced. But heres my problem, im off to uni in under a week and can't wait for it to be sorted i'll be needing my phone. Could someone guide me through how to open the thing up and mess around with the joystick (if there is a way) Regards
Guest illi Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 I have the same problem too. Technology gone bad!!!!
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 If you're with Orange, they'll send a courier with a replacement within 24 hours. You just swap the SIM & SD cards and you don't lose use of the phone. They will also deliver to any address. I did the deed in my office reception. Thing is, Orange reckon it's a known software fault so fiddling about inside is probably counter-productive and will invalidate your guarantee etc
Guest bluesmudge Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=446911#446911 this is what happened when i got mine replaced. Bare in mind i rung them at 9am and got it 7pm, i think thats cool. replacement cost £15 and with orange i called 150 (from my orange phone)
