Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 Hi, If you go into ActiveSync on the phone, menu, options, PC settings It says select the PC u want to connect to.... Well it shows my home PC, but i now want to connect to another PC, and i cant seem to be able to alter it in PC settings. Ive install active sync (3.7.1) on the other computer but it refuses to connect, Any ideas, appreciated Thanks Si.
Guest Phil Lee Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 You can have partnerships with two PC's provided you don't synch your Outlook Inbox. If you synch your inbox you can only have one partnership on the phone. The way I have my phone setup is that it has a partnership with my main PC at home where I do full synching. When I want access to the phone at work, I connect the phone and chose to have a guest partnership.
Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 i appreciate that, but does your settings in your phone, (as described) have one or two PC names. and i dont get the chance to select a partnership type when i plug it in at work. I dont sync the inbox at all
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 On mine the 2 PCs (home and work) appear in the settings When I connected it to the second PC it asked I think it asked about whether I wanted to keep the existing partnership Maybe if you delete all your partnerships it will let you make new ones with both PCs (he says guessing wildly!)
Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 ok cheers i think i prolly said originally only use this pc for connecting, least it works lol. Ill redo it later and allow more than one. Is two the max you can use?
Guest Phil Lee Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 Yes, two is the maximum number of partnerships you can have.
