Unable to successfully sync C500 to Exchange Environment

Hi People,

I looked through the forums before I've posted, but can't see anyone else having this problem....

My environment is...

W2K3 + Ex2k3 sp1 -FE server (and RPC-HTTP)

W2K3 + Ex2k3 sp1 -BE server

W2K3 DC GC, 2 of

I can successfully access the FE server OWA & OMA no problems with both http, and https...

My problem is...

I can create a partnership with this device no problem, however when I sync either over the wire, or over gprs, I get a messages saying

Synchronise with server......

Connecting... Looking for changes... Synchronising Calendar... 100 of 253... Synchronising Contacts... 100 of 249... Synchronising Messages... messages 43 of 43 items... Last: 10/09/2004 10:31

However, once this is complete I look in my contacts, I have none (just 'Press "New" to create a new contact.'). I check in my e-mail same again, and also in my calendar none...

If I am to create a contact on the C500 it does successfully sync to the server with no problems (again over the wire or gprs).

Problem solving performed so far...

1, I have performed a hard reset on the device.

2, I have deleted my mailbox and created a new one with just 1 message, 1 contact, and 1 mail (after exporting the mailbox with Exmerge).... This new lite mailbox has the same problem...

3, I have disable RPC-HTTP

4, I have uninstalled the server antivirus (Sophos)

5, I have removed the FE server (and verified the standalone server's OWA and OMA are working).

6, I have looked in the event log's on both the FE and BE servers - nothing bad recorded.

Any help anyone can offer would be gratefully received.
