Does anyone know the data through put speeds of bluetooth compared to USB cable.

Im assuming bt is alot slower, im thinking of using bt to tansfer all the data to and from the PC, but if its slow ill stick with USB cable.

Thanks

BT is slower than USB, but it's not really the point. It's wireless and low power consumption, ideal for mobile phones. So unless you're transferring 100s of mbs of data, it's hardly worth worrying about.

but...? comparatively? twice as slow?
I tried sending an mp3 (about 5mb) to a friend's nokia 6230. After a whole minute the transfer was at about 3%. I then cancelled the transfer.

Zapping an mp3 over the USB cable takes up about 20 seconds.

BT is fun for sending contacts / images etc, I don't think it's intended to quickly transmit a couple of megabytes :)

No, I snchronize, I install softwares an transfer musics, videos from my PC to C500 over BT without any problem !!

from my PC I transfert a 4-5MB MP3 to the phone in 1 minute... ok, in USB is 20 secondes bu bluetooth still acceptable.

I use the USB cable at work and BT at home ... without any problems

Heh well it's probably that crappy 6230 then, I think

weird idea that thing would have cost me the same as the SPV500 :)

bt to bt sending is much slower than activesync, at least with the default explorer. about 200-300k a minute.
