Guest miraclemaker Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Hi guys. I'm having problems with activeSynv and my C500. I've got the phone and the PC paired ok, when I select connect over bluetooth it conencts fine, but when I select sync is when the problems begin. The only theing I have selected to sync is my inbox - I have outlook express installed rather than outlook. if that's the cause of the problem that's fine. After the syncing attempt the 'inbox' information type in ActiveSync is marked as requiring attention. The inbox is the only information type that appears in ActiveSync. after a few moments I get a popup dialog with the message "critical communications have failed to start. try resetting the mobile device, anf then connect again." which doesn't sound good. my phone appears as a mobile device in my computer, but if I open it I just get an empty window. All I really want to do is copy files onto my phone (like to install betaplayer). Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

Guest miraclemaker Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 That would explain why syncing email wasn't working then. It's strange it gave me the option to use it when it was never going to work. I've got transferring of files working by enabling 'beam' on the phone. Although the first avi I transferred to the phone completely dissapeared - although I'm already discussing this on another thread (here)
