Guest Gavo09 Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Ok i noticed something weird about my mpx200. Wonder if anyone has the same problem. My IPSM memory is like 11mb, a few days ago its like 4.5mb and now its 3.88 mb. What exactly could be causing this depletion of memory on my IPSM??? I do have some external programs running on my phone, but i only install the essentials onto my phone. The other are on my SD card. What kinda stuff can i delete off the IPSM to free up memory ? i see some weird file extensions. They are: 1) cemail.vol = 964kb = WHat is this? 2) mxip_initdb.vol = 500kb = ?? 3) mxip_lang.vol = 196kb = ?? Can someone tell me how should i maintain my ipsm memory ?
Guest blewer Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 cemail.vol = SMS, MMS & Emails Have a look in Storage/Windows/AppMgr/Install and see if there are any failed instals in there. You can delete them :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Check your deleted items folder, that has a habbit of being overlooked and can fill the IPSM quickly. Otherwise you can delete the content of the IPSMMAPI folder this folder contains your sent SMS and email.
Guest Gavo09 Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Hey dude! thanks! But where is the deleted items folder? I too am using the Mpx200 any tips on beefing up its performance? what screen do u use? i find alot of them don't work for this phone
Guest martin Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 It's the Delete Items folder for messages. Go to the inbox (or for C500 it's Messaging/Text messages) select Menu-Folders and go to the Deleted Items folder. When you delete a text from any other folder it gets stored in the Deleted Items folder which is a bit like the trash can. You have to go to this folder and either delete the messages permanently or restore them. The Deleted Items folder can sometimes get quite full :)
