Game help for Newbie

Hi Folks,

Just got my first smartphone (spv c500), and I'm currently pulling my hair out trying to install the games I downloaded from coolsmartphone !! The methods they describe are either :

# find the .cab and placing it somewhere ( none of the four games I downloaded have a .cab file)

# placing a .jar in a particular folder and running it, there is no .jar in the zip file I extracted !

# Or use the .exe auto installer - of which there isn't one of these either

can someone please help

the game I downloaded are - pacman,pong,monkey madness and SPACRally3d

Welcome to the site :)

The other type of install you missed was a standalone .exe

This file needs to be placed on your Storage card using

Activsync then create a shortcut and place it in StorageWindowsStart MenuGames

Pacman or better known as SPVman should be zipped but contains the standalone .exe file

thanks, thats fine for spv man, but for the other pacman game thats on there, and monkey madness I dont have a cab or ee. for example

for the game smartris I unzip and I have:

_setup.xml 2kb

000GD104.002 112kb

smartris.001 113kb

that's all

Smartris is a .cab file which you have unzipped.

I'm guessing you are using Win98 or ME on your PC as that

OS mistakes cab files for .zip files

That would explain most of your problems :)
