:?: This is a question that all of you should consider, but yet little attention is paid towards it.

I have recently (30 mins ago) rung orange for my first e200 replacement since i brought it in march (joystick broken) I want to know where is my SPV going? will it be fixed and sent out to another country, or used for a phone replacement? Or is it just thrown away?

More importantly where is mine coming from? Im asuming they arn't making e200s any more since the arrival of C500. So have i got one of your problem handsets with a bit of polish? I must admit i have been putting up with my joystick problem for some months and what finnaly got me to replace i is the knowledge of a shinny new one (mines looking worse for wear)

Oh and should i at least do a software reset on my phone before it goes (hopfully some time this evening) or are my contacts safe?

Yours thinkingly

bluesmudge, at minimum I would reset your device before you send it back. Im sure the data will be safe but you never know if it might get lost in the post etc!

When your SPV goes back it will generally be remanufactured then sent back out. Thgey have to pass certain tests and are often given ne facias etc.

Your Newbie status will disappear after 50 posts.

All of the returned handsets are sent to a central warehouse, repaired and refurbished before being placed back into the replacement loop.

Dade - Thanks you seem to know your stuff :) I'll wipe the phone before it goes.

Mr Orange - Wow i never though Mr Orange would reply to one of my posts *feels honoured* And here i was thinking all broken electronics went to silicon heaven "where the iron shall lie down with the lamp"
