Guest xmob Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 The Register is reporting that Sendo and Microsoft have reached an out of court settlement in the Z100 legal dispute. Reminder: Sendo were about to launch the Z100 MS SmartPhone when they pulled the project, accusing Microsoft of stealing their hardware technology. You can read the full report here.

Guest chucky.egg Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Would love to hear what the settlement was I doubt Sendo would want shares in MS somehow, so I'd guess it's quite big money Bill has just paid out (not that he'll notice of course!)
Guest pisquee Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 "Sendo were about to launch the Z100 MS SmartPhone when they pulled the project, accusing Microsoft of stealing their hardware technology" ... is a very simplified version - you forogt to mention that MS initially made the contract so that MS would own all intellectual property if the deal ended/Sendo went out of business etc. Then MS kept extending the launch dates to the point that Sendo couldn't afford to keep going. So the deal ended and MS owned all the work Sendo had done for them. MS are quite sly really.
