Guest JB Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 This has probably been discussed before, but does anybody know how to add screensavers to the SPV and which are compatible with the phone? I can only get the screen to turn off at the moment.
Guest janagan Posted December 23, 2002 Report Posted December 23, 2002 Considering the low amount of batterylife, i think its better to have it turn off after some time. HAVING A SCREENSAVER MIGHT PREVENT U FROM MAKING THAT ALL IMPORTANT 999.
Guest ICY Posted February 19, 2003 Report Posted February 19, 2003 anyway... does anyone know how to do this, do you just use the .scr ones?

Guest mike-oh Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Are you really bored enough to warrant staring at a pretty pattern whirling around your screen anyway? Besides do TFT screens suffer from the same burn issues as CRTs? (my guess is no, but i aint sure!)
Guest Charlie Mouse Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I for one want to be able to add screensavers if only for the fact that the option is obviously there and it would look damned cool when its sat in the cradle!!!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Mike-ohalloran No they do not suffer from burn issues as a CRT monitor. Charlie Mouse Not in the same league but you could try Dockware Pro
Guest madu Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 I agree - if there is at least a hint of a feature - it must be brought to attention and more importantly made to work! This is a pretty obvious hint - it was not called 'Display mode' or 'Power Saving' - damn SCREEN SAVER - and what do we get as a screensaver - blank screen?? I personally have it off and enjoy being able to look at my screen anytime to see what's up like new MSGS or appointments or just time...

Its a screen saver because it saves the screen from dying from overuse. It SAVES the SCREEN. I think people may be expecting consistency from microsoft when there isnt any.
Guest madu Posted February 20, 2003 Report Posted February 20, 2003 Are you implying that this screen is so s*** that it can die from overuse?? As it seems to me this is not the case with these screens (screensaver wise). r we talking operating time?
