Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Hi, the only thing that makes windows media player on the c500 unusable is the ability to not be able to forward or rewind. Watching wallace and grommits wrong trousers for 5mins, and having to watch the start every time you come back to it, is very annoying. Whats the best free replacement for it. ta
Guest Dark Horse Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Check out this thread. http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1141...5&highlight=mp3 PocketMusic is great but no free unfortunately :) Neither BetaPlayer nor PocketMVP worked on my phone. Don't think there are any other alternatives. Is a real shame because it wouldn't have taken much effort from MS to just include a fast forward or rewind along with a decent playlist editor and perhaps a few equaliser settings. After all, it's suppoed to be a Sound Picture Video device so seems stupid not to have included software that shows off these things to the best :x
Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 nice , ill try later. thanks
Guest martin Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Use Betaplayer :) You will need to install the ASF plugin for WMA/WMV files. See this link for info - http://plugins.topcat.hu/
Guest simonbratt99 Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 thanks but... all those plugins say unstable lol, strikes the fear of god into ya. Yea heres some unstable software for ya . wasgoingon
Guest martin Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 They are called 'unstable' because they are the latest version of Betaplayer + plugins that have not yet been released by Picard. The last (stable) version of Betaplayer released was 0.04 I use it Betaplayer 0.091 :)
