Guest g33m4n Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 I've just done the 2.7.1.1 update for my E200 and averything seems to be fine apart from all the text seems to be blocky and pixelated. It justs looks plain awful. Iseem to remember that before it was smooth. I wonder if anyone has any comments on this issue... Cheers Rich
Guest ferret Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Orange changed their minds again and disabled clear type with the 2.7.1.1 To get Clear Type back either search the forum or pop over to www.customcabbage.co.uk and download the Clear Type CAB file. Welcome to the forum.
Guest g33m4n Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Hi mate, cheers for the response. ive tried the cab file but... "Installation failed. the program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate" ive searched the forum but its all very confusing.. many thanks for your help, Rich
Guest ferret Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 That's ok, it just means that your phone is not fully application unlocked. The CAB needs to change restricted registry entries. Have you application unlocked the phone before? If not, click on these three letters >> OTA << and learn how. When you've unlocked the phone, run the CAB again, and you should have clear type back on.
Guest g33m4n Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou! Buy this man a beer! :) Cheers mate
Guest Jezzer Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Posted from my SmartPhone! I had the same problem. I installed Smartease Shell... (something) I found the link here at Modaco. This program lets you turn on Clear type (nice text) and some other things and you don't have to unlock (OTA).
