ok, asked this in the 'C500 finally available on Orange Website with £50 credit!' thread. but i though i'd ask here again - sorry for the trickle (didn't wanna call it flooding cos its not that severe).

anyway (lol, i'll get there) if i have a problem such as dust on my screen and want a new handset i'll have to send it back to orange thru the post because taking it to my local branch won't work will it (its gotta go back to where u got it from). what'll happen about using a replacement/being without a phone???

FYI - Not dissing the C500 i wudn't NOT reccommend it for people who ain't bought it

I think the answer will depend on how long you have had the phone.

Are you insured and have you spoken to Orange CS ?

i haven't got the phone yet, but the messing about i've had with waiting for it to be delivered doesn't fill me with confidence. i will have Orange insurance when i get it.

but i don't want to be without a phone between sending the phone back and receivng a replacement/fixed handset

got my phone - huzzah!

spoken to OCS and they said that cos i have insurance and want a replacement handset due to problems like dust they'll courier out a replacement and take the faulty handset (without the battery, card and of course sim card) away with them

Ummm..not sure where we are with this thread, but I bought my E200 from the website, have the insurance, and when I've needed a replacement, they sent out a courier to my office, he gave me a new handset, I put my SIM & SD (and battery ?) in and lost use for about (say) 10 seconds. It's that easy.

Get Sprite Backup software and fuhgeddaboutit  :)

What happens if you don't have insurance?

With 3 if you take your phone to a 3 point they lend you a phone while yours is away for upgrade / repair wherever you bought it, no probs.

Hopefully I'll never have to find out but....
