Guest dynamo Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Hi, Not long had my C500 and want to get it working with GPS, but had a couple of quick questions: 1. The Fortuna Clip on BT seems to be the recommended BT GPS currently out there with some great reviews but i've also seen the Pretec BT mini GPS (from www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk) which seems to have the same features but smaller than the fortuna. I want to go for it but haven't seen ANY in-depth reviews so far on the net - does anyone have any experience of the Pretec BluetoothGPS mini ?? 2. That Belkin vent holder looks great for use in the car, but i'm a bit reserved about sticking a metal plate onto the back of the phone :? Can anyone tell me if it would fit between the battery and back cover and if the magnet would then be strong enough to hold it.. If so then it would be perfect :) Cheers, dynamo
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 2 - No, the magnet isn't strong enough - you have to stick it on the back of the phone. By using double sided tape instead of the supplied foamy tape it is OK tho :) P

Guest Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 If its any help the plastic case that comes with the fortuna is a perfect fit for both the phone and the belkin vent holder, I just cut that in half and used it. Works perfectly.
Guest fozzie Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 I'll have to make do with the voice guidance through my BT headset :) You could do, if the C500 supported multiple simultaneous bluetooth connections?! I don't think it does
