Need some help here guys :)

We've been testing TomTom Smartphone for some time and it has been officially announced today so at last I can ask for help! We need to capture some screenshots for our review but all the Smartphone Screen grabbers fail, with TomTom active all you get is the Homescreen. The same with MS's Remote Display utility.

They are using some game type display feature (GAPI?) but has anyone any suggestions or utils we could use to aquire some screenshots of TomTom in use?

Any advice appreciated.

You could use an app called smartss then create a folder in the root of your device and name it IPSM liek the originalSPV had.

I use this but if i'm correct in thinking it wont capture some game screens so it might apply to the tomtom software aswell. or you could try remote desktop ( I think) from Microsoft powertoys. then do a PC screen grab and crop the images.

Hope this helps or you could send me a freebie of tomtom and I could have ago. *Thought not but ya gotta try :)

Thanks but I tried SmartSS and it doesn't work. Whilst I'd love to dish out copies I doubt TomTom would be so enthusiastic  , however it is superb, works well on my E200 and has POI alerts built-in unlike the PPC version so you can have it alarm as you approach Gatso's when using our camera database :)

Any other ideas guys?

if you want to send us a 'review' copy im sure we can screen grab it

my prefered choice of grabbing tool is CEZoom from the sdk or maybe a ctrl-printscrn with remote viewer
