Guest huwmoseley Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Can anyone help me ? Took delivery of my C500 today. The answerphone speedial (key 1) has no number associated with it, just a "+" (international symbol). And of course you can't edit Speedial Key 1..... Also.. anyone know where I can get a spare data cable ?? Thanks !
Guest martin Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 You can set the Voicemail number in Settings-Phone-Call options :)
Guest huwmoseley Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 duh ! thanks !!! (feel a bit stupid... however, I didn't mention that Orange couldn't help me with this over the phone and have logged a technical inquiry thing..!)
Guest martin Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 however, I didn't mention that Orange couldn't help me with this over the phone and have logged a technical inquiry thing..!) That'll keep them busy for a couple of weeks :)
Guest kurtfhouse Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 For a spare data cable mate any mini USB will work, you can find them easily on the net. I bought one recently from Creative.com for about £9 including delivery. If you do a search on google you'll probably find one cheaper. Hope this helps
Guest Bozza47 Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Had the same problem - guess that's why the help desk is busy!! What's the full number for the Orange anserphone? :?:
Guest barrybryce Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 I missed that one too.... Is it 123 I need to put in, or 07973 100 123? Oh well, here's to being just about to find out...
Guest barrybryce Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Hey! They even answered the phone, and in less then 10 mins. Was almost there, its +447973100123
Guest Dr Who Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 You can use a camera usb-mini but it won't charge the phone.
Guest Phil Lee Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 You can use a camera usb-mini but it won't charge the phone. I use my Canon USB-mini cable at home and the phone charges from it with no problems. I keep the C500 cable connected to my work PC.
Guest sgilder1 Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I also have a problem with Answerphone speeddial. I have setup +447973100123 as the Voice mail number in Call Options, but holding down "1" just results in "1" being displayed! Any ideas?
Guest adiohead Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I also have a problem with Answerphone speeddial. I have setup +447973100123 as the Voice mail number in Call Options, but holding down "1" just results in "1" being displayed! Any ideas? I have this same problem!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone help?
Guest adiohead Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Ok I sorted it! I went into: start > more > more > accessories > speed dial then I just clicked on the answerphone setting and then clicked again and it started dialling (+447973100123). Then I went back to the home screen and held down 1. BINGO!!!!!! It's really weird that I had to do this to get it working but now it's sorted :)
Guest nsrp_0001 Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Okay, I can add a more doofus like response to this thread. Tried speed dial 1. Didn't work. Figured out it wasn't mapped. So in a logically illogical way I thought "hey I'll delete the mapping and remap it to an entry in my contact for 123". Deleted the mapping then found out you can't remap speed dial to button 1 as it's reserved. So you can delete the mapping but not create it! HELP!
Guest nsrp_0001 Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Okay, can't explain how, but it appears to have re-mapped itself back to Speed dial 1. Weird, but clever. ^_^
Guest cvt Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 hi. i also deleted the speed dial mapping to answerphone. how do i get it back? C
Guest Confucious Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Try rebooting your phone. Just to let you know I haven't touched my speed dials but when i use SD 1 It dials 123456 Still gets through to the answerphone as 123 are the first 3 numbers but looks like it wouldn't work from abroad. I have no idea who programmed this.
Guest fozzie Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Set it yourself in SettingsPhoneCall Options to +447973100123 (for Orange).
