Problems installing exe files - help!

I've recently tried to install 2 programmes, a beta version of XS Finance and a trial version of World Traveller. They were both .exe files (XS has 2 .exe files within the zipped file which was also confusing :) ) and each time I got the error message

worldtraveller (or XSfinance) _setup is not a valid Windows CE application

Any thoughts, does it mean I have to get my phone application unlocked?

You have to run .exe installers on the PC, so plug your phone in and make sure it is connected to activesync, then just click the .exe and it should start a setup on the pc which will install it to the phone :)

Thanks for that, two questions though!

How do you know whether the .exe file has to be installed on the phone or whether you can run it from your PC?

and when I try to access Worldtraveller I get

"you cannot run this application on a locked phone. In order to unlock your phone please contact your GSM provider"

Any ideas?

Usually, the Windows installer has an icon of a PC with a box next to it and the stand-alone program just a...just a...amplifier graphic or whatever it's meant to look like :?
