Guest bluesxman Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 I have an Orange SPV E100 that I'm using with a PAYG Virgin SIM. I've managed to get GPRS up and running, but am drawing a blank with MMS. Has anybody got this working on Virgin? Thanks in advance for any help!

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Hi there, I cant help with MMS settings but I have been trying to get my old E100 into Virgin for ages but none of the posts seem to work  Would you mind making a note of your settings please :) Have you tried the GPRS settings in teh Articles section? There are some settings around page 9 look for posts from Sept 2003 they were posted then. As for MMS do Virgin suppport MMS?
Guest bluesxman Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 As for MMS do Virgin suppport MMS?Yes, Virgin actually have some info for MMS config on their website, but it's how to interpret them for the smartphone that's giving me grief! Would you mind making a note of your settings please I got the basic WAP config from the articles post that awarner refers to. You can find it at the bottom of this page posted by martin. For GPRS I created a new connection under GPRS connections, called Virgin GPRS (or whatever you want), with the following settings: Connects to: The Internet Access Point: goto.virginmobile.uk User Name: user Password: wap DNS and IP address settings, I left blank. Once this has been created go back to the Data connections screen and change Internet connection to use Virgin GPRS. Don't ask me to explain it, I'm still new to all this - I just know it works for me!
