Guest moonlanding Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Has anyone managed to successfully reconfigure a SPV C500 to get access to the internet through an O2 pay monthly SIM? My phone is SIM unlocked and I have tried the WAP settings in the following threads but without success. O2 tried to help but they were all at sea. The phone error message is "unable to make the call". These are the threads: http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php?op...id=284&Itemid=3 and http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php?op...ticle&artid=321 Thanks.
Guest zen123 Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 I unlocked my C500 on Friday & immediately reconfigured the settings to O2 & everything was working perfectly. On Sunday I had to do a hard reset because I messed around too much with the phone. Now after putting the settings in again they don't work properly. I can recieve MMS no problem but when I send one out the recipient only recieves half of the picture. Also I cannot connect to wap gprs at all even though the settings are same as the first time I entered them.
Guest zen123 Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Yeah...finally got the wap over gprs settings working after another hard reset & putting in the settings again. So I can surf internet ok.... but I'm still having problems sending mms. I can recieve them fine but when I send a picture the recipient only gets half of it. I also tried sending to my email account but the picture does not show up as an attachment... Anyone can shed some light on this...thanks
Guest magic_peanuts Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Hi, I know it would be a lot of work but can you put the settings in here or or least tell me where you got them from?
Guest squall Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 the settings you need can be found by clicking on > gprs settings < there is a post with most settings for most networks. There is an issue with o2 where they have different settings for different sims, so the settings may not work, but it is the best starting place
