Smartphone / MS OS PDA Sync

Hi all,

Anyone know of a good way to sync smartphone and pda to the same computer so both devices have updated contacts/calender/ect.? When I sync one first then later on sync the other, it ask me 1) if I want to replace info on computer to device, 2) merge all or 3) do nothing. I don't want to do #1 because there are info on my device that might be newer than the computer but also info on computer that has not been updated on my device. So if i choose #2, a lot of info are repeated on both comp. and my device. Any tips?

Another question: How do I rename my smartphone sync name? When I sync, it shows the name smartphone. On my pda, i was able to name my device what ever I wanted. Thanks.

I sync 2 devices fine with no warnings, what are you doing different? :)

My sync prob. is that I get multiple birthday entries on my sm and ppc. I guess the prob. is if the ppc has the initial bday entry and then on my computer I alter and same info, when I sync them, the comp. thinks its two different entries and leaves both there. Its just annoying to see 3 different appt. of the same item on the same day. thanks.
