bataplayer mp3 issue

Installed betplayer v0.091 and it works great with some avi's I sync'd accross (the Spiderman and Gladiator trailers posted in the movies thread). However, it won't play mp3s at all (though does play wav files). I've tried it with mp3s on both the phones memory and storage card and nothing. Doesn't give an error just acts like it didn't recognise the play command. These mp3s work fine in Windows Media Player.

Any ideas folks?
