Toshiba Bluetooth woes & C500

I have activesync working well via USB

But just because I can, I am trying to get it working via BT also.

I am using a Toshiba Portege 3500 (which is approved in Jonsguide). He keeps mentioning a WIDCOMM stack, but all links to this have been removed - does anyone know where this is available??

I have a connection via the Toshiba Bluetooth Manager, and the device is registered/named etc. I know that com ports 4,6,7 are all set up to use with bluetooth, but activesync on the phone and the PC both won't achieve a connection.

I am probably missing something blatantly obvious, but can anyone help a newbie out here?

well from one newbie to the next under Settings - Beam - make sure its set to recieve incoming beams. I dont have active sync set up but that was my problem with other handsets.
