Guest RichA Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Hi, Just got the C500 today and am loving it! But I'm a tad annoyed, I'd read that by having the usb cable attached I could browse the web with it via the PC and not using GPRS - however, my GPRS counter has been steadily rising. As I don't bother including any GPRS data with my plan, I'd like to disable it(and WAP) so I don't get any nasty surprises on my phone bill. Does anyone know how to do it? I've had a look in 'Data Connections', but I only have' Automatic', 'Orange GPRS', 'Orange WAP' and 'Orange CSD WAP'. I did try it on Automatic, but it still went via GPRS. Any help would be great :). --Rich
Guest RickDawson Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Set your connection in the settings to be pass through connection Hold down the Home button... You then get a menu allowing you to disconnect from gprs.
Guest RichA Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Set your connection in the settings to be pass through connection I don't have this? Though the home button did give me the disconnect GPRS option - though it doesn't let me disable it... --Rich
Guest RichA Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Ah, sussed it. Had to delete the GPRS connection in order to see it. Kinda lame really, never mind :). --Rich
