Guest mattie01 Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 hi people, not sure if this has been mention before, but i've just noticed that when you use that new funky orange homescreen with the menus that come out from the side. that no matter what background image you use the menu that pops out is transparent. and from what i remeber of the homescreens on my E200, anytime a menu on the homescreen was used that was meant to be transparent, was actually just a clever use of a image placement to give this effect. but as mention above i have used different background images, even photos taken on the phone, and then orange menu that comes out is still transparent. so i guess my question is.. was this always possible or is this a new feature of the c500or possibly the 2003se OS? mattm
Guest drblow Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 The way the c500 plugin works is kind of new. The previous SPV's have not really suported image transparency as default, any effects like that have been done with clever graphics. The xml for the c500 plugin has an alpha value, so it can be changed to make it more/less transparent. Quite clever really! :) But it's only applicable in the c500 plugin itself, which is hard coded into the rom, & is currently proving to be a right pain to investigate!!
