Mapopolis - How to create POI map?

I was in town today, and wanted to find the nearest Orange store. I didn't want to spend ages surfing for it, so I ended up calling OCS and they gave me the address which I then put into Mapo to get directions (don't know my way around London apart from a few places)

I thought it would be useful to have a map with all the Orange stores on it, and there are some other things that would be handy too (like Internet Cafes, WiFi hotspots, electrical stores and so on)

The question is... How do I create individual maps for each of these POIs that I can load in Mapo?

Hi Chriss, take a look at page 17 of the main Mapopolis thread. There is a PDF detailing how to convert TomTom OV2's to Mapopolis.

Any questions let me know.

Don't worry, everything you need is in the notes.

You can either use a TomTom file, a CSV file with coordinates, AutoRoute pushpins etc. PoiConverter can handle all of these, all you have to do is to save the fila back as a GPX format and then continue with the rest of the notes.

If you want to create your own waypoints from scratch then you need EasyGPS, this will allow you to create a GPX file and add your own waypoints or even merge multiple GPX files into one single file.

Eitherway you need to end up with a GPX file, when you have this run GPXTOMAPLET, set the options as per the notes, select your GPX file and click on OK. This will then create your MLP file which you then transfer to your phone.

Open Mapopolis, then press Menu and Choose Map then press Menu again and Refresh this causes Mapopolis to rescan the device for any new map files and hey presto your new MLP will appear.

Any probs let me know.
