Guest Garth Evans Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Two problems my E100 will not hold an image after I take it saying that there is not enough memory. As far as I can tell there is enough and I am sure it used to work perfectly (at least before Orange swapped it to cure a persistent 'No Service' problem. Any clues? Secondly when I am sent an image in an MMS message how can I get hold of it to store it on my PC? Even though 'saving' the image I cannot find it through Explorer, either on the E100 or from the PC via ActiveSync. They must be in there somewhere as they still appear when reading the message in the In-box. Once again, any advice or experience to pass on? Will a C500 cure my problems? Thanx
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Hi Garth, On saving MMS message: Saving the pix and sound file. 1. Open the MMS message 2. The MMS viewer will open showing the contents of the message ( could be animated gif with text plus an audio file or just a static graphic file etc) 3. Hit Menu (right soft key) then Save Objects 4. Save Objects window will open...highlight on the graphic file/audio file then hit save. 5. You'll be prompted for a file name or just use the default name generated by the phone (ex pic14511.gif) Files are saved in these directories: Storage CardMy DocumentsMy Pictures for the graphic files (gif, jpeg) Storage CardMy DocumentsMy Sounds for the audio file (in *.AMR format) 6. Export the gif and amr to your computer. You can use amr to wav file converter for the AMR file. Look for Miksoft's AMR Converter. Its a freeware if I'm not mistaken. For unknown reason I cant save MMS contents onto IPSMMy Documents... so most likely, you should have a Storage Card on your phone's slot. I hope that helps. :)
