MPX Memory Full-ish

Ive got an mpx200 with the 2k3 rom on it however recently ive had a problem with it where after i have about 10 texts in the sent and deleted folders it wont let me send anymore texts until i delete at least one of them, im guessin it is because the memory is full, can anyone advise me how i can resolve this, i've taken off most of the software from the phone but it didnt help. thanks.
