Guest sebulr Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 I have bought a 512 Mb card SD card (manufacturer unknown), and have been using it for a week, for mp3 use. It is really temperamental in detecting the card. The 16Mb card i got with my phone works fine. But eventually it detects it. The problem not though is I deleted my files through Windows media player, to copy some more mp3s on there. And now says I have no free space on card. I cannot copy any files to it. The write protect tab is not on, I have checked. I have tried formatting my card by installing version 1 of the taskmanager but it just says "format failed" and still reports 18MB used 500mb card 0k free (I have 1 file on the card at 18mb). I have noticed that the SP manager program tells me 480MB on the card "is used" but my computer and phone tells me there are no files. How can I format this card or at least get some files on it? Will a card reader help or is just knackered?
Guest sebulr Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Sorry bout this post. After hours of jigging with my phone, I found that I HAD write protected my card so no wonder the task manager download could not format it. I have solved my own problem. A good thing is though, the task manager program seems to auto detect the card a lot better than the rest of the phones programs and I hope that it will work fine now. So if anybody else has a problem with cards detecting, download SP task manager (v1.0 is certified by orange thank god)
