Guest Spanky Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 I was typing a message on my E200 earlier today when my backspace button went into overdrive  . Basically, everytime I press the backspace, it keeps on deleting characters until I press another key. This doesn't just happen when typing messages, but in any place where I type things (calendar, contacts, etc.). I've tried the obvious rebooting and removing the battery, but to no avail. Also, the button doesn't seem to be damaged in any way, so I don't think it's sticking. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing it, and how I can stop it? Thanks!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Have a look in SettingsAccessibility and change multipress timeout to 1/2 second. If that fails then you may have a sticking button (not an actual visible problem but internal one)
Guest Spanky Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Thanks for the advice, but it still has the problem no matter what the auto-repeat is set to. I guess I'm going to have to take it into the Orange shop! Cheers
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 You shouldn't have any trouble getting a replacement, since it's a known software fault.
