Guest andy1 Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Hi, I don't know how this happened - but I have an MPX200 phone with the standard 16mb SD card & I cannot seem to "add" anything onto my SD card? When I look at my system info, it is saying that the card is "FULL" - but when I insert the card into my phone, nothing happens? I want to try to format the the SD card it just "does not allow me to" - if I go into "smart explorer EN" and press "delete" - again...it does not allow me to?? - It says: "Unable to delete file/storagecard/2577/smartphone. I even have SP atsk manager & when i try to delete: it says: Error while formatting the card" It says that I have the 3 games in there: Tennis, slurp & lemonade" It appears that my phone is not "recognising the card?" I want to just wipe the card clean - but I just can't? Are these files write-protected or something? How do I "unlock them?" Thanks Andy
Guest otacon Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Thats the same thing that happened to me when I was using my ppc. the ppc doesn't recognise the card, and when I choose to format, an error message appears. When I brought it back to compaq, they claimed that the card reader in the ppc is malfunctioning. Maybe the card reader in your handphone is malfunctioning? Double check by inserting your sd card into another phone, or a reader and see whether that device recognises the card.
Guest MaximilianWeisheit Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 there is a little switch on the SD card. unlock it ,-)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 If the apps etc are in resident memory you will not be able to delete the files. Try rebooting the phone explore the card and delete the autorun exe file you should then be able to format the card.
