Guest mikekirk Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Is it me, or is the Java engine Orange supply with the C500 just not very good? I've downloaded loads of Java games, and only managed to find a couple that actually work, and they have no sound! The rest just present errors when you install, crash when you run them or completely lock the phone. Does anyone else have any experiences?
Guest Viama Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Yeah, it's a pity. I thought it would have been impossible to find a worse java VM than in my old t610. I was proven wrong :)
Guest mikekirk Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Also a pity this has not been mentioned in any of the reviews of the phone. :x
Guest spark-x Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 for some reason the java link was missing from my phone's menu when i first got it - and then two days ago it popped up on the menu.. very weird.. did run orange update but doubt that had anything to do with it
Guest UnLoCkSmItH Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 There is no problem with the phones Java. The problems are in the games you are downloading. They are made for different phones. A nokia 3510i game will work but not properly on say a 6100 nokia or 7250i. Im pretty sure nokia Java games dont work on the Sony Ericsson T610 at all, so dont blame the phone, its the games u r using. Try downloading the Java multi phone unlocker. It didnt work properly on SE and Nokia phones but works beautifully on my C500  You can however try mkin ur own games  :)
