SPV C500

[Guest mortimer]

I went to the Orange shop today to buy a C500, but was told that it does not have a modem function for a laptop, despite the user guide saying it has. Are they correct ? Is there any third party software I could use ?

It has a Standard modem.

Ive got mine working over bluetooth, would work over infra red also.

I suspect Orange were trying to flog you a 3G card as well, the modem works fine over BT although data costs are astronomical on GPRS.
