IR Universal remote control for windows mobile 2003?

I wanted to know if anyone has created software to accomplish this.. i have heard that IR signals are unstable coming from smart phones so thats why they haven't been very popular. I think it would be awesome to be able to control everything in your room/house from a phone. thats my goal. has anyone made one or are there any plans for anyone to make one.. thanks a lot.. if so please email [email protected].

Mate, the moderators have asked that people asking questions put a question mark after their topic so as to not instill false hope in others (like me) that the software is being offered.

Good luck by the way, alot of people have tried to produce remote control and all of them failed. Apparently the hardware is not conducive...

as pondrew send on both counts, use a question mark and do a search, this has been brought up so many times...it will never happen unless someone makes a seperate IR transceiver and attaches it to the phone and writes drivers and software (unlikely) or a smartphone is brought out in the future that has better IR.

Also, it kinda defeats the point of a forum if you ask people to email you, just read the thread after a while! you can set up email alerts for when someone has posted if you want :)
