Guest zzzz Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 Has anyone got a dual sim card holder for their Mpx 200 and do they work ok? Ive seen the ones where you have to cut up your sim card available for a few pounds but im not too sure about cutting up my sim cards. Also seen one for £15 where you dont have to cut your sim card at www.m-99.co.uk but im also worried about breaking the sim card holder in the back of the Mpx as it doesnt seem to be that strong. Has anyone got any experience of any of these products?
Guest squall Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 there are no automoatic switching dual sim card holders im afraid. The ones where you cut the sim card still require some kind of manual change. I would like this but i wouldnt go cutting sim cards for it
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 Remember the SIM card belongs to the network and not the user. So cutting it would be ilegal, unless you were given permission to do do, which we all know would never happen :)
Guest SnaykeByte Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 I purchased my sim cards from Cingular for $25 each...........I believe they are mine, or am I wrong?
Guest ronny Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 i think if you bought your sim from your network provider under prepaid subscrition, it's considered yours, but if the simcard that you have came from your provider as plan or under monthly subscription, i think the sim is still the property of the service provider. but remember that service providers will not replace damage sims because you cut it in half, you will be charge for sim replacements.
Guest SnaykeByte Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Thanks for setting me straight. I am under no contract, but have a subscription plan. I guess they must be sorta like bank cards, says right on them they are the property of the issuing bank..........-Curtis
Guest otacon Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 I used to have one dual card holder for my Nokia. When I wanted to switch sim cards, I had to push a little button at the back, switch off the phone and on it again. IMHO, not worth it.
Guest peace2k2 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 I have a dual sim adapter. It worked fine with my old mobile phone (Siemens SL45i) and also with a Samsung SGH-X450. But it doesn't work on my mpx200. I tried a lot of Sim-Cards (ca. 7) and mostly I received a Sim Error. I used eplus and T-Mobile Sim-Cards.
Guest otacon Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Hmm... maybe it is due to the legendary broken sim card clips?
Guest thenet Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 In This link http://www.m-99.co.uk/Mobile_Phone_Twin_SI...and_triple.html It's have normal dual sim not have to cut sim card.
Guest the_ugly_north Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 The adpter shown in the link will not work as it will not allow the battery to be seated....
Guest otacon Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 Look at the watermark on the picture!!! If it was me, I wouldn't buy it...

BTW cool avatar! :D
Guest miriddin Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 (edited) SimEmu can be found on this spanish site, but there are also localized sites: http://simemu.cjb.net/ It's a freeware program and you hust need to buy a silver or green card, program it and cut the card with the same shape of your sim. the only limit is that you can only read original sim data enctypted up to 64 bit level: at present no way to read italian operators sims with 128 bit encryption. P.S.: thanks for the avatar! :D Edited January 29, 2005 by miriddin
