QTek 8080 & Vodafone UK

Please can someone help me... I'm new to this so please be as simple as possible. I have just got a Qtek 8080 smartphone. I am using it with my vodaphone pay as you talk sim, which i was told would work. I have just tried setting up the GPRS unsucessfully i might add, using the info on this forum. Can someone please go through it with me one step at a time as i'm not sure where it is i am going wrong :? Thanks

I've got the Orange SPV E200 equivalent of the QTek 8080 and am using it with a Vodafone UK PAYG SIM.

I think the settings provided in this forum assume you have a GPRS account. I believe you can only get this if you have a pay monthly account.

I have tried to get my phone working just using the dial-up settings (vodafone csd) connecting to the wap network but havn't had any success so far. I just get 'cannot find page' error when trying to access WAP pages.

My old Nokia 8310 used the following settings:

Homepage http://wap:1999/vodafone.wml

Session mode Permanent

Connection security Off

Data bearer GSM data

Dial-up number +447836900808

IP address 212.183.137.012

Authentication type Normal

Data call type ISDN

Data call speed 9600

Login type Automatic

User name wap

Password wap

Has anyone managed to get there E200 working with just the dial-up wap network connection ?
