Hi people

Phone: Mpx200

Headphones: Motorola FM100 Stereo Radio Headset

1621006_1.gif

Software: Media Player.

I've just bought these headphones, installed my new 512mb mmc card, all the mp3's I play out using either MPlayer or Beta Player only play on 1 speaker(headphone), if I turn the Radio on, then its in both headphones?

Whats at fault? Phone or Headphones?

Thanks.

Is it orig. Motorola.....I have tried other brands with same problems so I think you might have to use Motoroas own headphones.

Welcome to the site :)

The pinouts are not standard on the MPX200 so unless you use the ones that come with the phone you will only get

sound from one speaker.

You would have to alter the wiring on the headphones to correct this.

i did not get any heaphones with the phone, so how do you change the wiring? Seems a bit drastic?

Can anyone point me to a st of headphones that work? So I can buy them.

When I first got my MPx200 I had a look at those FM100's and nearly bought them. If they are still listed as MPx200 compatible (or compatible with all Motorolas (I'm sure they were listed as one of these at one point or I wouldn't have been looking at them!)) and they are in fact not compatible, then you should be able to get a refund.

Just checked Motorola UK's website and the FM100 is shown as an accessory for the MPx200.
